SEGI Signs Engineering Study Project with Marafiq for Existing Sales Gas Network in LIPE-1, Yanbu
23 May 2024
Saudi Engineering Group International (SEGI) is pleased to announce the signing of an Engineering Study Project with Marafiq for the Existing Sales Gas Network in LIPE-1, Yanbu.
The study will thoroughly evaluate the capacity, functionality, operational maintenance, safety, and security of the existing network, drawing on current industry practices. SEGI’s scope of work will provide comprehensive insights and recommendations for potential upgradation and optimization of the network to meet future demands.
Key aspects of the study include:
Review of existing facilities, metering skid, and pipe network
Assessment of the capacity of the upstream (feeder) network.
Determination of specific distribution of sales gas to new customers and their locations in relation to the existing network.
Analytical calculations to identify the most cost-effective delivery options while meeting functional requirements.
Evaluation of the impact of heating value variations on the carrying capacity of pipes.
Identification of redundancy requirements to handle potential supply line outages.
Consideration of instrumentation, control, and communication aspects.
Inclusion of layout considerations, accounting for soil conditions.
Addressing fire and safety requirements for operational reliability.
This project highlights SEGI’s expertise in delivering strategic engineering studies that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and long-term sustainability of critical energy infrastructure.
